Singapore PM Urges China to Forgive Japan, Ignores Rising Militarism in Japan!

To be honest, the moment I heard Singapore Prime Minister Lawrence Wong’s recent statement that China should stop dwelling on historical issues with Japan, should forgive Japan, and look to the future, my first reaction was to make a video to tear apart this shameless remark. But my SSD died, and even after restoring my backup machine I still lost some data, so I simply do not have time to record a video right now.

First of all, it is highly inappropriate for the Singapore Prime Minister to make public comments on the sensitive issue between China and Japan. Singapore regards Japan as a reliable partner in Southeast Asia, but is China not one as well? Whether in economics, culture, or any other field, China is geographically closer to Southeast Asia and cooperates much more closely with the region. Since both countries are important partners, when sensitive historical disputes flare up between China and Japan, Singapore could perfectly well remain silent and refrain from commenting. That would actually serve Singapore’s national interests far better. Even if he completely sets aside the grave crimes the Japanese committed in Southeast Asia and Singapore itself, purely from the perspective of professional ethics as a head of government, he should never have made such a stupid statement. Moreover, he seems to have forgotten that he is only the Prime Minister of Singapore. It is precisely because major powers like China show respect to Singapore that he himself is respected and has any voice on the international stage. If China stopped respecting Singapore, he would be nothing more than an ordinary mayor. His behavior constitutes serious overreach; it does no good to Singapore and does no good to him personally. To put it bluntly and without any politeness, his brain is broken and he should go to the hospital for a check-up immediately.

Second, why does he not go and persuade Ukrainians to forgive Russia, persuade Europeans to forgive Russia, or persuade Israel to forgive Germany and forgive Hamas? Why does he not tell the United States to drop its religious prejudice and stop its aggression and suppression of Muslim countries? Because he knows perfectly well that in American eyes he is nothing at all. It is only because China has always treated Singapore with friendship, a tradition inherited from the great Prime Minister Lee Kuan Yew, and because China has always been willing to listen to Singapore’s views, that he, simply by becoming Prime Minister of Singapore and inheriting the political legacy of a great man, enjoys the respect of the Chinese people. If he dared to offer his opinions in front of the United States or Israel, he would be viciously slapped down and humiliated by Anglo-Saxons and Jews. Russians and Europeans would not give him the time of day either. As Prime Minister of Singapore you may declare on behalf of Singaporeans that you forgive Japan, but you have absolutely no right to declare forgiveness on behalf of other Asian countries, because Japan has never thoroughly reflected on its war crimes.

This is the most important point: Germany was able to be readmitted into Europe and become the engine of the European Union only because Germany eliminated at the legal level any possibility of again becoming a fascist state. The crimes committed by Hitler and the SS are constantly reiterated, every German citizen must receive anti-Nazi education, and any act of commemorating Hitler or the Nazis faces severe legal punishment. Can you imagine what would happen if Germans set up a memorial hall to honor Hitler, Göring, Goebbels, and others? Would European countries forgive them? Would Germany not be immediately occupied by other European states? Would Poland forgive Germany? Would France forgive Germany? Would Israel not send fighter jets to strike German soil directly?

Are the disputes between China and Japan caused by China being unable to let go of history? Is it not rather because Sanae Takaichi and Japanese right-wing elements are trying to overturn the post-World War II order and rearm Japan? They claim Japan did not lose the war, it merely ended it. Yasukuni Shrine enshrines Class-A war criminals such as Tojo Hideki and Yamamoto Isoroku, along with a huge number of butchers who massacred Chinese people. High-ranking Japanese officials keep visiting Yasukuni Shrine. Is that something that can be forgiven? Can Chinese people just let it go? South Korea, North Korea, and Russia have still not forgiven Japan to this day. Why do you not go and persuade the people of those countries to forgive Japan?

I know that in the hearts of certain banana people, they are neither descendants of Chinese nor yellow-skinned; they consider themselves honorary whites. But you should be very clear that your genes determine that Japanese will never respect you. If China fails to stop the revival of Japanese militarism and Japan invades Southeast Asia again, Singaporeans will not escape the same fate of massacre and humiliation they suffered last time.

Third, I want to say one thing to all Singaporeans: stop constantly emphasizing on the internet that although you are ethnic Chinese, you are essentially different from mainland Chinese. That Singapore is a sovereign country is common knowledge in China; we Chinese have never forcibly demanded that you identify with China. But you should remember this: since you are not Chinese, when it comes to issues that touch raw Chinese nerves, if you cannot support us, then shut up. How did a former senior Taiwanese official describe you? A booger-sized country. A huge number of Chinese companies invest in Singapore, and a huge number of wealthy Chinese move assets there. Why do they not go to Japan or the United States? Is it not precisely because of this cultural closeness? When it comes to Singapore playing an important role in ASEAN and being an honored guest at every major international occasion, which country has actually contributed more to that position, China or Japan?

Respect is mutual. The reason Chinese respect you is indeed the shared cultural bond. You are free to have no self-respect, but do not demand that China lower itself to your level. We are the descendants of the dragon. We can endure hardship and low points, but a dragon is still a dragon; sooner or later it will soar into the sky again. Toward yapping vicious dogs on the ground, it will never show mercy. If you want to be dogs, that is your choice, but do not try to persuade us to be dogs as well. Have you Singaporeans not visited the memorials to Japanese atrocities in your own country for a long time? Hurry up and review them, because at the rate your prime minister is going, one day he might award Tojo Hideki the title of honorary citizen to thank him for using his whip to mold a batch of spiritual Japanese living in Southeast Asia.

Finally, although I am furious, the moment to settle accounts with Japan has not yet come. Chinese people still need to remain rational. Japanese militarists are nothing more than a dog tolerated and shielded by the United States. As long as Chinese calmly focus their energy on competing with the United States and defeat their American daddy, those Japanese will be completely tamed. Every source of chaos in Asia ultimately comes down to the contest between China and the United States. Keyboard warrior arguments achieve nothing; only facts carry weight. Even now I still remember twenty years ago when I argued with Westerners on forums. From their words I already saw the decline of the Western world; their stupidity and ignorance make them unfit to lead the world. Every single debate I had with them back then has, by the facts of today, been completely won by me. But if I had poured all my energy into trading insults with stupid people, it would not only have brought me zero value, it would have held back my own life development.

To be honest, when Lawrence Wong was a technocrat his professional competence was very good and I fully recognized it. But it seems he is only suited to be an administrative official; whether he is suitable to be prime minister is open to question. That, however, is ultimately a matter for Singaporeans themselves. After all, they do not mind Japanese paying respects to the war criminals who slaughtered their own forebears; they are very magnanimous. Just as they do not mind Indians urinating on their MRT trains, this is a tolerant country. Maybe the one who is wrong is me. Alright, that is it for this episode. See you next time!
